Participants from Mussorie showed a dominating performance in the recently concluded District Karate Championship in Dehradun.
The participants bagged 14 Gold, 3 Silver and 4 Bronze medals. Organized by Dehradun Karate Association, the event had 250 participants.
Karateka’s trained at Raj Karate Academy outshone everyone winning 14 Gold, 3 Silver and 4 Bronze medals. Hem Raj Sharma, Director of Raj Karate Academy told that 17 had participated from Mussoorie in which 7 were boys and 10 were girls. In the boy’s category they won 6 Gold, 2 Silver and 4 Bronze.
While in the girls category they won 7 Gold and 1 Silver medal. The Director said that the event was held after a two year hiatus due to corona.
Now the winning participants were take part in the state Karate Championships to be organized by Uttarakhand Karate Association from 29 April to 1 May.
